Well, we bred for red and boy did we get it!!! As you can see from the pictures, these are tremendously dark red puppies. They all have had copper since the moment they were born! It was a challenge to get the pictures.....they are much like photographing solid black dogs! And no, I didn't take just take one set of pictures and repaste them for the 4 solid red puppies - these are all individual pictures!!!! Yes....they do look a lot alike!

This is a co-bred litter with Kay Gentzler of SCF Aussies and Jo Kell of Rockin'K Aussies. The puppies are being raised here in New Mexico. These puppies should grow up true to the standard with dynamite structure, awesome movement, high intelligence, medium bone and medium coats. The temperaments should be very biddable with strong work ethic for performance.

This all red litter brings together some outstanding bloodlines with the potential to do it all.

Well, we've gotten through the first week. They are growing fast. this is a VERY athletic litter....they are walking....not very steady on their paws...but they are walking. Made it a challenge to get the pictures!

Given all the red in this litter....we are going with a FIRE theme! For now, we have given them names that are fire related so we can call them something besides "puppy, puppy".

As always, we are using the Bio Sensor Method with this litter.  A bit more about this method:

The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide for raising grounded puppies. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that because this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual.
 

 Getting puppies started right provides huge advantages later in their lives.

The benefits observed in dogs started with the Bio sensor method include:

Improved cardiovascular performance

Stronger heart beats

Stronger adrenal glands

More tolerance to stress; and,

Greater resistance to disease

In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations. Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, wined a great deal, and made many errors. Their stimulated littermates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated littermates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress when stressed.

Number one son...number one puppy. This boy is a happy, mellow fellow who sleeps best tucked in by his mother's side.

(we had to have a "v" name as he has a white "V" on his belly...pictures next time)

Unlike his his "older" brother.....this boy is NOT mellow! Move the buffet table at risk of your hearing! He doesn't hesitate to tell "mom" to hold still - though if she moves, he is the first one to track her down.

This is a middle of the road boy so far....likes to be in the middle of the buffet table and the middle of the puppy pile.

This is one busy  boy! The smallest of the boys, he can get up, over and through the crowd. Already he is the most athletic boy of the litter.

(this is Basque for "fire"

we couldn't resist!)

The only red merle in the litter turns out to be the MOST mellow fellow of the bunch. Whatever goes on...he just rolls with it...literally. His preferred position is on his back....sleeping OR eating!

With five brothers, this little one will never be a girlie-girl. She is already holding her own. With all of this super bright copper on her....she is easy to find in the red tri puppy pile. And yes....she is a serious truck'n gal....
